Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your access to and use of aureliaresearch.com and any purchase you make from Aurelia Research (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

1Research use only

All products sold by Aurelia Research are supplied strictly for laboratory and research use. They are:

  • not drugs, medicines, supplements, cosmetics, or food products;
  • not for human or veterinary use;
  • not intended for use in any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure;
  • not evaluated or approved by the MHRA, the US Food and Drug Administration or any equivalent regulatory authority.

No statement on this site should be read as a medical claim or as a recommendation to use any product in or on a human or animal body.

2Eligibility

By placing an order you represent and warrant that:

  • you are at least 18 years of age when ordering from the UK store, or at least 21 years of age when ordering from the US store;
  • you are acquiring the products solely for legitimate laboratory research;
  • you are qualified, or acting under the supervision of someone qualified, to handle research chemicals safely;
  • you will not resell, redistribute, or supply the products for human or veterinary use;
  • your purchase and intended use comply with all laws applicable to you.

We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we have reason to believe these representations are inaccurate.

3Your responsibility for compliance

Laws governing the purchase, possession, import and use of research compounds differ by territory and change over time. You are solely responsible for determining whether you may lawfully purchase and use a product where you are, and for obtaining any licence or authorisation required. We do not provide regulatory advice.

You are responsible for safe handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with applicable safety standards.

4Products, descriptions and testing

We aim to describe products accurately. Certificates of Analysis are published only when genuine documentation is available; any certificate provided applies only to the batch identified on it.

Product images are illustrative. Minor variation in packaging, labelling or presentation does not constitute a defect.

We may change or discontinue products at any time.

5Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed. Delivery charges and any applicable taxes are shown before an order is placed, except for laboratory equipment: its delivery is not charged at checkout but quoted after payment, as the basket and checkout state before you order. We may correct pricing errors, including after an order is placed; where a price is materially wrong we will contact you and you may cancel.

Available payment methods and any payment instructions are shown at checkout. Payment is processed using the method you select. Where a third-party payment service is used, we do not store full payment card details.

Discounts advertised for multiple quantities apply at checkout as displayed.

6Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch. Order acknowledgement is not acceptance.

7Shipping

We deliver within the market you order from (United Kingdom or United States). UK orders are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 (£5, free on orders of £60 or more); US orders by 2-day shipping ($20, free on orders of $150 or more). Laboratory equipment delivery is quoted after payment (section 5). Risk passes to you on delivery to the address you provide.

8Returns

Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for cancellation, return and refund information. Where you have a statutory right to cancel, it applies as set out there, subject only to any legal exception for the particular goods. Your rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect, missing, undelivered or not-as-described goods are not affected.

Contact support@aureliaresearch.com for return instructions or to report damaged, faulty, incorrect, missing or undelivered items.

This does not limit the Purity Guarantee in section 8a or our lost or seized parcel promise.

8aPurity Guarantee

If an independent laboratory on our approved list (currently Janoshik Analytical and ILS Laboratories), or any ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, reports a sealed Aurelia vial at more than 2 percentage points below the purity on its published batch certificate, or below 90% of its labelled content, we will replace the product or refund its price (your choice) and repay the test fee up to £150. Claims must be made within 60 days of delivery with the full laboratory report, the batch number and a photo of the vial. We may confirm the report with the laboratory. One claim per order. This applies to all products, including sale items, in both stores.

Lost or seized parcels. If a tracked parcel is lost or seized in transit, we will reship it once free of charge, or refund it if reshipping is not possible.

9Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • use, or permit the use of, any product in or on a human or animal body;
  • resell or supply any product to a person you know or suspect intends such use;
  • misrepresent a product as approved for human use;
  • use the site unlawfully, or attempt to interfere with its operation or security.

Breach of this section entitles us to cancel orders, refuse future service, and report the matter to the relevant authorities.

10Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

11Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, logos, layout and code — is owned by or licensed to Aurelia Research and may not be reproduced without permission.

12Disclaimer of warranties

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty or not as described, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in this section affects those rights. The rest of this section applies only to the extent permitted by law.

Except as expressly stated, products and the site are provided “as is” and we disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not warrant that products are suitable for any specific research application. Determining suitability is your responsibility.

13Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurelia Research is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or research outcomes, arising from the use of any product or this site.

Our total liability in connection with any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

If you are a consumer, this section does not limit our liability for goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, or any other liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

14Indemnity

If you buy as a business, you agree to indemnify Aurelia Research against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of any product. If you buy as a consumer, you are responsible, to the extent permitted by law, only for losses we suffer as a result of your deliberate breach of these Terms or deliberate misuse of a product, including any use of a product in or on a human or animal body. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

15Changes

We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time of your order. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home nation. If you live outside the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

17Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
